This blog was conceived as a “confession of an experienced VSD student” so that in his blog the author (Doc) could share his own story of acquaintance with vegetative-vascular dystonia and tell how he struggled with it. Actually, he succeeded, and I am one of those people who came to this resource in search of a means to combat dystonia and panic attacks, and I am grateful to Doc for his stories, and, to a greater extent, for his attitude towards the problem, which is conveyed to readers. In turn, now, to the best of my ability and within the framework of an agreement with Doc, I am trying to help those who are struggling with the so-called VSD, panic attacks, various kinds of unknown illnesses and deep depression. "Eltacin" is a drug that affects processes in the body that lead to vegetative-vascular disorders.

Thermoregulation disorders are periodic slight changes in body temperature.
Hyperventilation - breathing becomes more frequent, but the patient still constantly experiences a shortage of air and cannot take a deep breath.
Digestive disorders - intestinal disorders, flatulence, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, changes in appetite.
Sweating disorders - the patient’s feet and palms sweat heavily.
Psycho-emotional disorders - without treatment, the patient gradually develops depression, phobias, and becomes irritable.

Analogues of the drug Eltacin® for VSD

Sleep disturbances, prolonged insomnia.

Violation of hormonal stability. It manifests itself more noticeably in women as a disruption in the menstrual cycle.

One patient can experience from 2-3 symptoms to 10-15 at a time. Dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system exhausts a person in a short time. The patient becomes nervous and irritable. If left untreated, the heart and other internal organs quickly wear out. Eltacin is recognized as one of the best drugs acting directly on the foci of pathology.

Clinical studies have shown that the medication is well absorbed and no side effects were observed. Eltacin for VSD in adults has no contraindications, except for individual intolerance or allergy to the composition.

If there is an allergic reaction, a rash and itching appears on the skin. You should stop taking it immediately.

Use during pregnancy or lactation is not recommended. Although animal tests have not shown a negative effect on fetal development, doctors do not recommend taking risks.

The literature does not describe cases that are accompanied by the appearance of significant side effects after taking Eltacin. The maximum that can happen is mild dizziness, loss of appetite or allergic reactions (redness and itching of the skin), and then only when absorbed on an empty stomach.

The use of the drug is contraindicated for people with VSD, who have individual intolerance to the active components of the drug, and for children under 11 years of age.
In pediatrics, the limited use of Eltacin is due to the lack of evidence base on the effectiveness of taking the medication in this age group.
Doctors do not recommend this drug during pregnancy. There is no information about its negative impact on pregnancy, but the effect of the drug in this category of women has been little studied.

The use of Eltacin is indicated for various disorders of the nervous system and in the treatment of deterioration of cognitive functions of the brain. Eltacin tablets can be prescribed to all patients whose body needs the amino acids included in the drug.

To restore the body after intense physical activity, you need to take the medicine 1 tablet 3 times a day. It is advisable to consume it at the same time, regardless of meals.

For heart failure, the course of treatment can vary from 1 to 3 months in both adult patients and children and adolescents. It all depends on the severity of the disease. Take 1 tablet three times a day. If necessary, you can extend the treatment after consultation with a specialist.

The instructions for use of the drug do not contain information about its incompatibility with other drugs.

Side effects

A negative consequence of taking the medicine may be an allergic reaction or individual intolerance. Allergies can manifest themselves in the form of skin rashes, itching, and in severe cases, swelling due to anaphylactic reactions is possible.

Contraindications

The drug is prescribed with caution to pregnant and lactating women to avoid possible complications. It is also not recommended to use tablets for children under 11 years of age and people with hypersensitivity to the components of the composition.

The dosage for adults is 3 tablets per day. For children aged 12 to 15 years – two doses of the drug. The duration of the course is determined by the attending physician. Depending on the individual characteristics of the body, it can last from one to three months. If negative effects are noticed, advice should be sought immediately.

According to statistics, in 75% of cases, after treatment with this medication, VSD completely disappears. No further relapses are observed. In 25% of cases, there is a significant improvement in the patient’s condition and relief of syndromes. A complete lack of effect from the application was not noticed.

Based on the above facts, the action of the medicine is aimed at normalizing the functioning of the autonomic nervous system. The drug is available without a prescription, so independent use for preventive purposes is allowed. However, it is recommended to consult a specialist who will prescribe the optimal dosage to achieve maximum effect.

Standard dosage regimen, depending on indications:

heart failure: 1 tablet three times a day for 2-3 months;
VSD: 1 tablet 2 times a day for children (12-18 years old), and 1 tablet 3 times a day for adults for 3 months;
prevention of mental and physical exhaustion: 1 tablet twice a day for children and 1 tablet three times a day for adults for 14 days;
treatment of physical and mental exhaustion: 1 tablet three times a day for a month, regardless of age.

The remedy for VSD Eltacin can be prescribed in other cases not specified in the instructions for use. In this case, the dosage and duration of drug therapy are determined by the doctor individually for each patient.

If a diagnosis of vegetative-vascular dystonia is made, the patient should take the medicine three times a day, one tablet. The duration of therapy is 1-3 months, which is determined individually by the attending physician.

It is important to note that the drug can also be used to prevent these disorders. In this case, you should take one tablet three times a day for two weeks.

No cases of overdose or addiction to the medication have been identified.

According to the instructions for Eltacin tablets for VSD, you can use the medication if you have any symptoms of dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system. The complex composition of the tablets allows you to influence the mechanisms of development of clinical manifestations of the disease and eliminate them in a short period of time.

Therapy is prescribed at any age and should always be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. This allows you to increase the effectiveness of treatment, as well as reduce the risk of developing side effects of the drug.

Mode of application

The Eltacin tablet is placed under the tongue until completely dissolved. There is no need to drink water. Taking Eltacin does not depend on food intake: you can take it both before and after meals.

It is advisable to take Eltacin for VSD at the same time. Dosage may vary depending on age and individual characteristics. Determined only by a specialist. Typically, for adults and children, 1 Eltacin tablet 3 times a day.

To prevent mental and physical exhaustion in children and adolescents during school (especially during exams), 1 Eltacin tablet is prescribed 2 times a day. The course of admission is 1 month. Not recommended for use by children under 12 years of age.

Since Eltacin contains acids that are naturally synthesized in the human body and are not foreign, the drug is well tolerated and no side effects are observed when taking it, as evidenced by patient reviews.

Adverse effects include theoretically possible allergic reactions; sometimes this may be the body’s response to the action of excipients in case of individual intolerance. The following conditions may develop:

Contraindications

Due to the lack of clinical studies among the population groups described below, the drug is not recommended for use:

Children under 11–12 years of age.
Pregnant and lactating women.

There is no need to prescribe Eltacin to children; dystonia, as a rule, does not develop at an early age.

For vegetative-vascular dystonia, Eltacin tablets are considered to be effective drugs. The medicine is often included in the therapeutic program for VSD due to a number of beneficial properties.

In patients with initial symptoms of VSD, Eltacin is used to prevent the progression of symptoms. The active components of the drug are included in the metabolism of the nervous system, and this leads to stabilization of its functioning.

Therapy for vegetative-vascular dystonia is based on the exclusion of provoking factors and the use of various medications to improve brain function. Also, patients are recommended to visit a psychotherapist, physiotherapy rooms, etc. It is important to note that it is medications that remain the “gold standard” in the treatment of VSD.
