Why is Tenoten prescribed? Instructions, reviews and analogues, price in pharmacies

Tenoten

- homeopathic remedy. Developed by NPF Materia Medica Holding LLC in 2005. Positioned by the manufacturer as a remedy for relieving symptoms of anxiety and stress[1]. The official instructions for the drug do not indicate that it belongs to homeopathic remedies[2]. Despite the fact that the principle of potentiation, which underlies the creation of a number of Materia Medica preparations, is borrowed from homeopathy, the manufacturer does not indicate either on the packaging or in the instructions that these are homeopathic remedies[3].

Systematic reviews indicate that the therapeutic effects of homeopathic remedies are due to the placebo effect[4][5]. According to modern evidence-based medicine, the effectiveness of homeopathic medicines does not exceed the placebo effect[6][7][8].

The FDA has issued a letter warning against treating influenza with homeopathic remedies[9].

WHO considers it dangerous to trust the treatment of infectious diseases to homeopathic remedies[10].

The Australian NHMRC has officially stated that homeopathy has no health benefits and can be harmful[11].

Pharmacological characteristics

The drug inhibits lipid peroxidation. Helps strengthen the central nervous system, improve memory and ability to concentrate, as well as increase the body's resistance under conditions of stress, hypoxia and intoxication.

The drug does not have a sedative effect.

Recommendations for admission

A homeopathic medicine does not harm the body or its individual parts. But, before starting treatment, it is recommended to read the instructions carefully and use the advice from them. The substance contains lactose, so people who complain of digestive disorders, as well as the fact that their body does not tolerate lactose and does not digest carbohydrates well, should take this effect into account.

The tablets promote mental activity, so the manufacturer does not recommend dissolving them later than two hours before bedtime. As a rule, Tenoten does not have any special side effects, but you should be careful during the treatment process. Concentration and psychomotor reaction speed may be impaired.

At the pharmacy you can easily find a drug that you can buy without a prescription. The package will contain instructions, so you can figure out the dosage yourself. However, we strongly recommend visiting a specialist who will indicate the exact amount of daily servings and draw up a treatment schedule.

Don't be afraid of overdose. To date, no such cases have been recorded.

Directions for use and dosage

The drug should be taken orally between meals, keeping it in the mouth until completely dissolved.

Adults are prescribed Tenoten 1-2 tablets 2 times a day, in some cases the frequency of administration is increased to 4 times a day.

Children are prescribed Tenoten for children: for neurotic and neurosis-like disorders - 1 tablet 1-3 times a day, for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder - 2 tablets 2 times a day.

Treatment lasts from 1 to 3 months. If necessary, the duration of therapy is increased to 6 months or a repeat course is given after 1–2 months.

If the child cannot swallow the tablets whole, they can be dissolved in a small amount of boiled water at room temperature.

Therapeutic effect

  • Through experiments, scientists were able to discover that even very small doses of antibodies to S-100 restore the membrane of brain neurons that have lost the ability to excite and transmit impulses from one to another. This action of the drug leads to such therapeutic effects as: Nootropic effect - increasing attention, perseverance, improving memory and learning ability of a person.
  • Neuroprotector - the viability of nerve cells in the brain increases, the cells become more resistant to external factors.
  • Antidepressant - the effect of the drug increases the body's resistance to stressful conditions, prevents and treats depression.
  • Anti-asthenic effect of the drug - the drug can be used to relieve asthenia.
  • Antihypoxic effect - prevents brain hypoxia by increasing oxygen supply.

Taken together, all this leads to an improvement in a person’s mental and emotional state, the feeling of anxiety and fatigue disappears and the performance of the whole organism increases.

Reviews

More than 70% of reviews about the drug are positive and only 30% are negative. A positive review indicates that Tenoten helped a person overcome a stressful situation in life and cope with anxiety. If you read the reviews, you can see that with the help of the medicine, a neurotic state, anxiety and a negative background in the body disappear. A person perceives stressful situations more calmly, tolerates them more easily, without resorting to nervous breakdowns. In addition, reviews indicate an improvement in brain activity due to a reduction in stressful conditions.

Some reviews claim that Tenoten made it possible to overcome psychological stress when fighting bad habits.

Negative reviews are mainly due to the fact that the product did not meet the person's expectations. The most often mentioned is the ineffectiveness of the drug in the treatment of sweating, abdominal cramps and redness of the face during a stressful situation. Such reviews are not surprising, because the drug only reduces the degree of susceptibility to such situations, and does not make a person completely resistant to any state of anxiety.

The effect of Tenoten manifested itself in the near future - the mother began to “snore” immediately, rather than lie awake until midnight, her emotional state returned to normal, I already know how she could often flare up like a match over any nonsense. Yes, I myself tend to do this... when before Every little thing terribly infuriates me.

And now my mother has become calm, sober minded and does not become hysterical. I RECOMMEND!

Anastasia P.

I was completely satisfied with the effect of Tenoten; it did not make me sleepy or sleepy, and this is the main thing for a person driving! the feeling after taking it is slightly unusual, but you feel clarity of consciousness, you don’t constantly fall asleep, and bad emotions seem to disappear somewhere. A very powerful drug. I used to take valerian. not comparable at all.

Maria

Parents' reviews of children's Tenoten are most often positive. These are mainly reviews of how the drug helped the child cope with some kind of psychological trauma, such as witnessing a terrible incident, accident or fight. Reviews talk about the medicine’s ability to reduce panic, reduce the number of bad dreams and normalize sleep in general.

I started giving my child tenoten and after that my son’s tantrums disappeared! The manifestations of the aggressive state stopped. I noticeably felt that we began to live calmer!

Doctors, in turn, do not always have a positive attitude towards Tenoten. Doctors' opinions vary. Upon closer examination of the opinions of doctors, you will notice that they are all divided into two types. The first type of doctors are doctors who trust only the evidence-based qualities of drugs and consider Tenoten ineffective. Such doctors believe only in the effects of drugs proven by research, but this approach is not always correct. No one would benefit from expensive research to prove the drug's effect on symptoms. Most often, doctors conduct research only on medications that completely cure ailments.

Contraindications

Typically, homeopathic medicines are easily tolerated by all categories of patients. To avoid negative consequences, the Tenoten instructions define the following contraindications:

  1. Intolerance to one of the components of the drug.
  2. Age up to three years for children's release form.
  3. Age up to 18 years when using the drug in adult concentrations of the active substance.
  4. State of alcoholic intoxication.

Since the compatibility of Tenoten and alcohol has not been studied separately, experts’ assumptions about the incompatibility of medicine and strong drinks are based on generally accepted rules of treatment. During the period of drug intervention, additional intoxication of the body with alcohol is not allowed. Using medication and alcohol at the same time can lead to complications and even chronic diseases.

The drug is used with caution during pregnancy and lactation, weighing the risk to the child against the benefit to the mother.

Drug interactions

In some cases, doctors prescribe combination drugs that include substances of plant and synthetic origin to eliminate the possibility of overdose. "Tenoten", as a homeopathic drug, differs from most known analogues. It can be taken in combination with natural medicines or with drugs that do not contain natural ingredients. Since the start of production of the product on an industrial scale, no cases of incompatibility have been observed.

The use of any medicine requires the appointment of a specialist and his supervision. Even homeopathic remedies with minimal doses of the active substance are not recommended to be chosen independently.

Tenoten. Analogs

Today, analogues of tenoten are synonyms and analogues themselves. Synonyms are drugs that include Tenoten as an active ingredient. Analogues, in turn, contain a different active substance, but are similar in their therapeutic effect on the body .
