Principles of Gypsy Hypnosis
Suggestion in reality has a lot of names. If the pursued goal is to deceive, then this is criminal hypnosis, also known as gypsy hypnosis. If the goal is to have fun and entertain, then this is closer to street hypnosis (variety hypnosis is the same only with show elements and a lot of spectators).
In order to explain what “gypsy hypnosis” is, we must remember the main sign of hypnosis in general - turning off the internal censor in a person, which we call the word “mind”. Going into hypnosis is, in a sense, putting your consciousness into “manual control”, where the mind with its pros and cons is caged. “Gypsy”, that is, street hypnosis, is essentially a light version of conventional hypnosis, focused on the same result: trance (partial or complete shutdown of the mind) in a state of wakefulness. This is achieved by two or three techniques, passed down by inheritance, which provide the required effect: the “client” continues to perform seemingly meaningful actions for several seconds or minutes, without realizing that he is under suggestion.

It is clear that it is based on the characteristics of the audience itself: its psychological state, level of general awareness, as well as the number (and quality) of alternative sources that are used.
For the purpose of immersion in hypnotic sleep and subsequent targeted influences, the following is used:
- rhythmic movements and passes;
- monotonous sounds;
- suggestion with the main distracting moments of influence;
- images and symbols;
- sudden change of situations and interruption of expected actions.
